If a blade server cannot communicate with the external ports on
an I/O module, verify through the advanced management module that
the ports are enabled.
Problem
One or more blade servers cannot communicate
with the external ports on an I/O module.
Investigation
Perform these steps to resolve the
problem:
- Log in to the advanced management module Web
interface.
- Make sure the external ports option is enabled in the management module
Web interface. Select I/O Module Tasks →Admin/Power/Restart to
determine whether the external ports are enabled or not.
- Reseat the I/O module.
- Replace the I/O module.
