Installing the battery backup unit

To install the battery backup unit, slide the unit into the media tray and close the release handle.

Important: If you are installing battery backup units in a BladeCenter S chassis in which SAS RAID controller modules are installed, refer to the BladeCenter S SAS RAID Controller Module Installation and User's Guide for additional steps that might need to be performed.

1. Open the release handle (rotate the handle down).
2. Slide the battery backup unit into the media tray.
3. Close the release handle (rotate the handle up)
