         Perform these steps:

               Attempt to power down the SAS RAID controller module again.
               Check the Activity LED on the battery backup unit.

                     If it is not lit, reseat the SAS RAID controller module.
                     If it is lit, wait a few minutes to see of the light will turn off.

                           Note: Removing the SAS RAID controller module while the LED is lit can result in data loss.
