Removing the expansion unit

Use these instructions to remove the expansion unit from the blade appliance.

To remove the expansion unit, complete the following steps:

1. Before you begin, read Safety statements and Installation guidelines.
2. If the blade appliance is installed in a BladeCenter® unit, remove it (see Removing the blade appliance from the BladeCenter unit for instructions).
3. Carefully lay the blade appliance on a flat, static-protective surface, with the expansion unit side up.
4. Press the expansion unit release on each side of the blade appliance and lift the expansion unit from the blade appliance.
5. Rotate the expansion unit open; then, lift the expansion unit from the blade appliance.
6. If you are instructed to return the expansion unit, follow all packaging instructions, and use any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.
