The IBM BladeCenter SFF Gigabit Ethernet Expansion Card has a dual-channel integrated Gigabit Ethernet controller that is capable of connecting to 10/100/1000-Mbps networks through an Ethernet switch module, or other supported I/O modules, in the BladeCenter unit. Communication signals are routed from the blade server through the I/O expansion connectors on the expansion card to I/O-module bay 3 and bay 4 in the BladeCenter unit.
