The QLogic Ethernet and 8 Gb Fibre Channel Expansion Card (CFFh) for IBM BladeCenter provides both 1 Gb Ethernet and 8 Gb Fibre Channel technologies in a single device. The expansion card has four configurable adapter ports. Communication signals are routed from the blade server through the high-speed connector on the expansion card to Ethernet and Fibre Channel switch modules installed in a BladeCenter chassis, such as a BladeCenter H, that has been configured with at least one Multi-Switch Interconnect Module for IBM BladeCenter (MSIM).
